Ouch...Irradiated imported products from Japan are cause for alarm. Sushi restaurants across the American landscape are now suffering from questions of irradiated fish imported from Japan. Auto parts and imported Japanese autos could be contaminated with radioactive Iodine 131, Cesium 137, Strontium, or Plutonium 239 raising the specter of rising cancer risks to the American public. With the fervor of our deregulated smaller government downsizing our regulatory agencies foreign imports are not being inspected for this life threatening risk. Better to shun the Japanese brands till the threat is better researched and pinpointed with proper testing of incoming products. Plutonium 239 has a half-life of 24100 years. The average Toyota or Honda import may last 10 year but the danger from Plutonium 239 is it will migrate to bones and bone marrow causing fatal cancers.
